Here at Allure Beauty Lounge, we offer an amazing wax experience at our Edinburgh salon. We use only high-quality waxes by Adam & Eve. Formulated in Australia it contains the highest quality ingredients and essential oils, is Vegan friendly and never tested on animals.

We offer a range of waxing treatments for women including Brazilian and Hollywood intimate waxing, underarm, facial, legs and any other area requested.

For all intimate areas, underarms and facial waxing we only use hot wax – it is applied thicker than warm/strip wax and feels warm and soothing on the skin. It’s removed without the use of paper or cloth strips. It is gentler on sensitive areas as it works at a lower temperature. The wax is applied with the hair growth. As it sets it shrink wraps the hair meaning superior grip, a less painful treatment and amazing results. It can remove hair from as short as 1mm long.

For all other waxing, we use Adam & Eve strip wax. It has a super-strong grip catching even the finest hairs and leaves a lovely smooth finish. It smells amazing and best of all it leaves no sticky residue on your skin. So you won’t be sticking to the toilet seat when you get home!​
​Brazilian and Hollywood Waxing Preparation

Here are some tips to help! Please arrive for your treatment in plenty of time, feeling stress-free and fresh! For the best results, we advise you to remove underwear during a Brazilian or Hollywood wax.

The area will first be cleansed, then a thin film of pre-wax oil is applied to the skin. This creates a barrier between the wax and the skin meaning the wax adheres to the hair and not the skin! The wax is then applied in small patches, left to set, then pulled off against the hair growth leaving super-smooth results.

Try and time your waxes so you are not due or on your period. It really makes a difference to your pain threshold.

Also if you are overtired, stressed or under the weather, the body is a lot more sensitive.

Exfoliate the day before your appointment, this will lift any hairs trapped hairs and remove dead dry skin cells.

Try and stick to the 4-6 weeks between waxes, when the hair is at the perfect length it’s a much more comfortable treatment.

No body sprays, lotions and potions to the waxed area unless advised by your therapist.

Try not to rub, scratch or touch the area with unwashed hands.
Clothing
